Head of School's Message

A very warm welcome to The RiverBank School.

Thank you for visiting our website and I hope that you find it informative. I feel truly privileged to lead such a wonderful school and to have the opportunity of ensuring that each child at RiverBank Nursery and Primary receives the best possible education in their formative years.

At Riverbank, we have high expectations of our children and set challenging targets for them. Every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. We also recognise that every child is unique and has valid contributions to make.

Our staff are dedicated, hardworking and experienced. We provide a safe, calm and caring atmosphere and foster an ethos of hard work based on an enjoyment of learning. We are pleased to offer a varied selection of enrichment and enhancement opportunities and possess excellent links with our diverse community. We treasure our reputation as a warm, welcoming, family school.

The Staff and Board continually seek the views of parents, carer’s and visitors to our school. We recognise that parents play an important role in the education of their children. Consequently, we solicit your co-operation in making your child’s time at Riverbank enjoyable. We are fortunate to have a vibrant Parent Teacher Forum and encourage parents and carer’s to be involved in all aspects of school life or to discuss any concerns or issues with us. Please call at any time to make an appointment to see either myself or my team – all members of staff will value discussing any aspect of your child’s education and general welfare.

We hold recognised international educational memberships such as COBIS, CAMBRIDGE international examinations, AISEN, APEN and ACIS. We also groom the children about giving back and helping needy groups through our CSR projects. Within the context of Christian belief and practice, our school has developed a set of core values which underpin all the work we do. These values have a huge impact as the children develop. They help to deepen positive values of the children and enable them make appropriate personal and communal choices.

We have aspirations for all our children that through their school journey they will fulfil their academic potential and become successful lifelong learners. In addition, we desire that our children will possess high levels of both social and emotional intelligence. This will empower them to thrive in the future as active and productive members of society.
